1200cc. This highly original ‘matching numbers’ Austin Somerset spent 38 years of its life on display in a BMC garage, and has been a regular visitor to Brooklands and Goodwood. It was supplied new to AJ Sanders Ltd of Worcester in February 1953, and today there are 24,593 miles showing on the odometer. It recently formed part of a deceased estate, having belonged to a local Austin and BMC enthusiast.

The history file contains old tax discs back to 1958, MoT certificates, the original buff logbook and the current V5C, which indicates 7 owners from new. It is supplied with an original toolkit, handbook, and badges displaying its Worcester heritage. Also included are various receipts, a Heritage Certificate, and printouts by previous owners describing the car's history, which suggest it has never been restored. The Austin featured in County Counsel magazine in 2020, and a few issues are included.

In 2022 and 2023 the car was MoT tested with no advisories. The latest certificate has now expired, although the car is exempt from requiring one.

The vendor tells us that a new coolant pump is required. One is included in the sale.
